Monitoring and Improvement
We are dedicated to monitoring and enhancing the water and environmental quality in and around our lakes. Over the past decade, many volunteers across every lake in the chain have contributed to our End of Dock program. This initiative has been instrumental in gathering valuable data on the health of our lakes.
What We Do
- Monitor water quality using chemical and/or physical methods.
- Host the Tree Giveaway event.
- Promote the benefits of a dark night sky for people and animals.
- Interact with local governments and planning and zoning committees to protect water quality.
- Provide education concerning the ecosystems of our lakes.
What You Can Do
- Volunteer to be a secchi disk monitor.
- Read our quarterly newsmagazine for information about our Environmental programs.
- Plant a tree that you received from the free Tree Giveaway.
